Guest visitors
In Randio Open Campaigns → New campaign
A guest is a visitor who is not signed in to a customer account. Guests are never in a customer group and never receive email. They see offers only through a Storefront campaign in Guest mode.
How guest offers work
Shortly before a Guest run starts, Randio builds a pool of shared catalogs: a hundred to begin with, growing with traffic up to ten thousand. Each visitor is assigned one of them by network address and keeps it for the length of the run, so the offer does not change on every page load. A new run deals a fresh one. Because a pool catalog is shared, it never includes a Limited distribution; see What is a strategy.
Guest catalogs are not counted on your bill. They cost nothing to serve and only add to the bill when a guest buys, through the commission. See Your plan.
Where guests see it
The storefront block shows the guest's catalog on the pages where you placed it, and the catalog page shows the full selection. Adding a product from either carries the catalog price into the cart; checkout applies it like any other Randio discount. The app embed must be detected on your theme, or nothing serves. See Cart and checkout.
Guests who buy
When a guest places an order, Randio links the order to the catalog they were shown so the sale is attributed in Orders and Analytics, and copies that catalog into one of their own, tied to the customer record Shopify created for the order. The shared pool catalog stays as it was for other visitors. The new customer is still not emailed by that campaign.
Logged In mode
The other Storefront mode, Logged In, is for customers signed in to their account. Each of them gets a personal catalog of their own rather than one from the shared pool; a signed-in customer who already holds an Outreach catalog sees that one instead. A campaign runs in one mode at a time; you pick it on the campaign page, and a change applies to the next run while the live run keeps its mode.
