How Randio works

The path from your settings to a customer's checkout, in order.

1. Build the pieces

Create a strategy (which products, how deep the discounts, how many per catalog), a template (catalog page, email and storefront block in one) and, for Outreach, a customer group. All three are reusable across campaigns.

2. Create a campaign

Pick a type. Outreach emails a customer group. Storefront shows deals on your store, in Logged In or Guest mode. Then pick how it runs: Automatic runs on a schedule you set, One-time is a single run for a window you choose. Every run has a start and an end and appears in the campaign's upcoming queue before it starts.

3. Catalogs are built

Randio draws each catalog from the strategy when its customer is reached: a few products, each with its own percentage off. No product that cannot be bought right now goes in: sold out, under your stock minimum, unpublished, a gift card, or not sold in the shopper's country.

4. Delivery

The email shows the customer's products and prices and links to the campaign's catalog page on your store. The storefront block in your theme shows the same catalog to a visitor and links to the same page.

5. Redemption

The customer adds a product to the cart from the catalog page. The app embed keeps a signed token on the cart, and a Shopify Function applies the Randio price to that line in the cart and at checkout. There is no code to enter. Each product can be bought at its Randio price up to the Discount Quantity Limit in Settings → Preferences, or a distribution's own Max per product.

6. The run ends

Discounts stop applying when the run ends. Catalogs from an ended run no longer serve. During the run, a product that sells out or drops under your stock minimum leaves live catalogs and is removed or replaced according to your inventory rule; a replacement comes from the strategy's Chance distributions first. Orders placed at a Randio price appear under Orders.
