Reminder emails
In Randio Open Campaigns
An Outreach campaign can send one reminder per run before the offer ends. It is off unless you turn on Send a reminder email before the offer ends in the campaign's schedule setup, manual or automatic; the switch shows how many hours before the end it will go.
Turn it on for offers that run a few days or longer: customers who have not opened or clicked get one more look before the offer ends, without a second catalog and without counting against their send cooldown.
When it goes out
The timing follows the run's length:
| Offer length | Reminder sent |
|---|---|
| 2 days or longer | 24 hours before the end |
| 1 to 2 days | 10 hours before the end |
| Under a day | 2 hours before the end |
Reminders come second. They are sent only after the run's first emails have all gone out, with whatever send capacity is left, and nothing is handed over in the last stretch before the offer ends. For a large group the wave can start earlier so it finishes in time. No reminder is scheduled when it would land within two hours of the first emails, so a very short run gets none even with the switch on.
What it says
The template's Reminder content has its own subject, preview text, body text and button, separate from the first send. On the campaign, Reminder wording overrides those for this campaign only. Blank fields use the template's reminder copy; they do not inherit the first send's overrides.
The reminder links to the same catalog. The customer's products and prices do not change, except that a product that can no longer be bought is left out.
Who gets one
A reminder is a follow-up, never a first contact, and a person gets at most one per run. They receive it only when:
- their first email for this run actually went out;
- they have not opened or clicked since the run started. An open recorded by Apple Mail's privacy feature does not count, so an Apple Mail reader who has not clicked still gets the reminder;
- at least two hours have passed since their first email;
- they can still be emailed: not unsubscribed, bounced or reported as spam, and with marketing consent.
A reminder does not count against a customer's send cooldown, since the first email is the recent message that cooldown counts. It is not counted as a new outreach catalog either; the catalog was counted when the first email went out.
Turning the switch off after a run started skips a reminder wave that has not yet begun.
